Waystone Health provides EMG/NCS testing, nerve conduction studies, and neuromuscular ultrasound for referring providers in Winchester, VA and the surrounding region.
Common referral questions include:
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Cubital tunnel syndrome / ulnar neuropathy at the elbow
- Cervical radiculopathy vs peripheral entrapment
- Lumbar radiculopathy vs peripheral neuropathy
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Nerve injury after trauma or work-related injury
- Persistent numbness, tingling, weakness, or radiating symptoms
Testing is performed by Alex Gonzalez, PT, DPT, ECS, a board-certified clinical electrophysiology specialist.
Reports are designed to be clinically useful for referring providers and may include:
- EMG findings
- Nerve conduction study findings
- Neuromuscular ultrasound findings when appropriate
- Clear diagnostic impression
- Same-day report availability

How to Order EMG/NCS + Neuromuscular Ultrasound
Step 1: Use your standard office referral pad or EMR order.
Step 2: Specify: "EMG/NCS + Neuromuscular Ultrasound Correlation".
Step 3: Include the clinical question (e.g., "Rule out Carpal Tunnel" or "Peripheral Neuropathy Evaluation").
